Are children an epitome of Allah?

Are children an epitome of Allah?

Country : India,

Name : Inayath

FQ1) : Assalamalaikum wa Rahmatullah, Please answer my question.  People say that “Bache Khuda ka roop hote hai (Children are an epitome of Allah Ta’ala)?.  Is it correct?  If I am not wrong, I have heard that the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon Him) is Mazhar-e-Zaate Ilaahi.  Please guide me with the help of Allah Ta’ala and for the sake of the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon Him)?

Answer: Walaikum Assalamalaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa barakutuhu,

Saying “Bache Khuda ka roop hote hai” is not correct.  The word “roop” is used in the sense of facial, physical features and Allah Ta’ala is above bodily features of any kind.  The Lord is beyond our imagination and beyond all sense of place and time.  These words are against the majesty of Allah Ta’ala.  They are against the etiquette of Tauheed (singleness of Allah Ta’ala) as well.  The Holy Prophet (Peace be upon Him) said: The Pen is lifted for 3 persons – for the one sleeps until he awakes, for a child until becoming an adult and for a lunatic until he becomes sane.

(Sunan Abu Dawood, Vol. 2, Hadith No: 4405)

The second thing that you have said that the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon Him) is “Madhhar Dhaat-e-Ilaahi” i.e. manifestation of the “Dhaat” (being) of Allah is absolutely correct.  The word “Madhhar” or manifestation is not used in the sense of physical or bodily features, etc.  In the universe, there are many things which are a manifestation of Allah’s power and other attributes.

Allah Most High says:

Soon will We show them Our Signs in the (furthest) regions (of the earth), and in their own souls until it becomes manifest to them that this is the Truth. Surah Fussilat (52:53)

Included in the whole universe, human beings are also manifestation of Allah Most High.  The Holy Prophet (Peace be upon Him) is the most complete and absolute manifestation of the attributes of Allah Most High.

And Allah the Most Merciful and the Most Beneficent knows best.
